DRU (Andrew Grange), a Canadian artist with Jamaican heritage, rose to fame as the lead singer of the award-winning R&B group In Essence, whose debut album “The Master Plan” won a JUNO Award and other accolades in 2004. Going solo with his 2008 album “The One,” DRU’s singles “The One,” “Stay with Me (Always),” and “Seasons” reached the top 10 on Canadian charts. His 2009 collaboration on “Runnin” earned a JUNO nomination. In 2012, he released “On The Brink,” featuring gold-status singles “She Can Ride” and “Gettin It In,” and received another JUNO nomination in 2014 for “Love Collision.” His 2016 single “Don’t Be Afraid” led to a tour with Sean Paul. In 2021, DRU released his third album, “THE REBIRTH MMXX,” paying homage to ’90s R&B with a modern twist, and embarked on a European promo tour. With nearly 3 million streams, “THE REBIRTH MMXX” marks DRU’s strong return to the music scene. In 2024, he plans to headline soul residencies at casinos, resorts, and high-end events, reaffirming his impact on the music industry.
