Madette Mendoza is an award-winning performing artist whose silky vocals,
magnetic stage presence, and signature “Acoustic Nostalgic R&B Jazz” vibe create

Performing as a duo, trio or quartet alongside Toronto’s top musicians — including
acclaimed Latin jazz guitarist Mario Munoz — Madette delivers reminiscent classics,
from Jazz favourites to 90s R&B and early 2000 throwbacks, reimagined with a
sophisticated acoustic twist. Think Sade, Alicia Keys and Lauryn Hill — all wrapped
in warm, soulful elegance.
Known for her remarkable versatility, Madette can set the tone with soft, sultry
melodies or light up the room with infectious, catchy grooves. Her voice flows
seamlessly from velvety and soothing to bold and commanding, precisely tailored to
your event.
Singing since the tender age of three, Madette has graced Canada’s most
prestigious stages, including Nathan Phillips Square, the TD Beaches Jazz Festival
Main Stage, Roy Thomson Hall, and the International Centre, sharing the spotlight
with legendary artists such as Liberty Silver, Carlos Morgan, Joaquin Nuñez, Taboo of
the Black Eyed Peas and Jonathan McReynolds.
One of Madette’s biggest accomplishments as a musician is winning the PIDC
National Songwriting Competition and having her original music placed in Grammy
and Tony Award-winning producer Jhett Tolentino’s feature film Asian Persuasion,
starring Dante Basco (Hook) and Kevin Kreider (Bling Empire) which won the
Audience Award at the Soho International Film Festival 2023 in New York.
