Genre pioneer: In the 1980s, DJ Groove moved underground Hip Hop, R&B, and Reggae into mainstream clubs at a time when these genres were rarely played in commercial venues. He was also the first DJ to host a weekly Hip Hop show on mainstream Montreal radio.
