Hugo Leclerc Saxophone Sax
Hugo Leclerc is a versatile saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist who plays an active role in Montreal’s vibrant music scene. He has recently collaborated with Gregory Charles and appeared on the popular TV show En direct de l’univers. Known for his adaptability, Hugo performs across a wide range of styles — from pop and jazz to gypsy, progressive rock, Latin, and more — contributing to multiple projects and groups. With approximately 180 live performances and recording sessions each year, his musical footprint is both prolific and diverse.

Hugo’s musical journey began at the age of four with piano and voice lessons. After a decade of foundational training, he picked up the saxophone at 12 and quickly developed a passion for the instrument. He studied classical saxophone part-time at the Conservatoire de Montréal, followed by jazz saxophone at Cégep Saint-Laurent. In 2019, he earned his bachelor’s degree in jazz saxophone from McGill University.

Today, Hugo continues to expand his musical horizons. He has built a professional-grade home studio, where he now focuses on recording his original compositions. His goal is to share his love of music with a broader audience in the years to come.
